The PI of the IGUEMUS project and three researchers present their work in Valencia

On July 9, the PI (Principal Investigator) of the IGUEMUS project, Gemma Domènech, together with researchers Xavier Ulled Bertran, Rebeca Saavedra Arias, and Eduard Caballé i Colom, took part in the XVII Congreso de la Asociación de Historia Contemporánea, held at the University of Valencia from July 9 to 11, 2025.

In this context, they presented different research projects focused on the protection and management of heritage in times of conflict. Gemma Domènech gave a presentation on the role of women in safeguarding heritage during the Civil War in Catalonia. Xavier Ulled analysed the situation of scientific heritage in Barcelona during the same period and the early years of Francoism. Eduard Caballé offered a sociological approach to the Comisaría de la Zona de Levante del SDPAN. Finally, Rebeca Saavedra explored the role of women in protecting historical and artistic heritage during the Spanish Civil War.
